[dropcap size=big]T[/dropcap]he first month of dieting is finally coming to a close and amazingly my results are finally positive. After last weeks ‘slip up’ I was back on track and working hard. I managed to drag myself to the gym three times and I stuck to my Slimfast lunches. In the evening the temptation was a little greater and on the days I went to the gym I celebrated with an extra slice of bread of a small lump of cheese as a snack. On the whole, however, I stuck to my guns and despite having food fantasies throughout the week my weigh in was positive.

Real World Vs Digital Wold

With two pounds lost and a massive amount of body fat lost I felt pretty lean. I may have even looked leaner as well as I received two compliments on my weight lose. This spurred me on no end. To add to my arsenal of weigh losing tools I also borrowed a colleague’s Slendertone stomach toner. Using the new belly beating belt twice a day it now aids my journey for the perfect beach body.

The app still betrays me however, and I regularly find myself going over my 1200 calorie limit. I think this is mainly due to the ambiguity  of home cooked meals. Three fajitas weighed in at 700+ calories which I think is a little excessive but the app knows best. The only way to counter high calorie evening meals was to run more.

Side Effects

Over the past few weeks I have noticed that aside from the more frequent loss of concentration I have also got athletes foot from going to the gym more regularly and my skin is taking a beating from either all the showers, the food or the stress.

I thought I would change diet techniques throughout this experience but as the Slimfast diet is working so far (if a little slower than planned) I will keep with it until the two month mark before trying something new.
